Description

Pterygium surgery is performed to remove a non-cancerous growth of tissue (called a pterygium) from the white part of the eye (sclera) that often extends onto the cornea. It’s sometimes called “surfer’s eye” and is most common in people exposed to lots of sun, wind, or dust.
